Although forgiveness is intrinsic to spiritual life, the culture of forgiveness is not often lacking in our lives. We talk about the need for tolerance and forgiveness, we know nothing comes to us that we don’t deserve, yet resentment still resides in the hearts of many of us. Devotees often say, “I want to forgive but I don’t know how.”
The Life of Forgiveness is a hands-on workshop where devotees work through their personal resentment issues using a step by step forgiveness process based on Vaishnava teachings and Vedic psychology (i.e. we don’t just talk about forgiveness, we do it).
The Life of Forgiveness processes help devotees see their story in new ways, ways that cause a shift in their attitude and response to the situation. This not only frees them from the pain of their own resentment, but helps them become more tolerant and understanding of other’s shortcomings, thus improving relationships in our communities. As such, The Life of Forgiveness is also a powerful relationship building workshop.
There are also many unexpected additional benefits that devotees derive from this course. They become more responsible for their feelings and reactions to difficult situations and have greater levels of understanding and tolerance towards other’s shortcomings. Devotees find that where they would have formerly reacted with hurt, blame, anger, or revenge, they now act with forgiveness.
Timing: Friday 7 pm to 9 pm, Saturday 10 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm
Since there are many dimensions to forgiveness not covered in this course, we also offer a three and half day version of the course.
